Daily cleaning and maintenance
Regular vacuuming: In daily use, flannel blankets are easy to absorb dust and hair. It is recommended to use a vacuum cleaner to thoroughly vacuum the surface of the blanket every week, especially the edges and folds, to reduce the frequency of cleaning and extend the service life.
Avoid stains: Try to avoid splashing food, drinks and other liquids on the blanket to reduce the trouble of cleaning. If it is accidentally stained, immediately use a clean cloth or paper towel to gently absorb the excess liquid, and perform local cleaning as soon as possible.
Cleaning method
1. Hand washing tips:
Soaking: Add an appropriate amount of neutral detergent or bedding detergent to normal temperature or lukewarm water (about 20-30℃), stack the blanket flat and soak for 10-30 minutes. Note that the water temperature should not be too high to avoid damaging the fiber.
Gentle scrubbing: Gently squeeze or rub the blanket with your hands, avoid rubbing or wringing hard to avoid damaging the fluff structure and causing deformation.
Rinse thoroughly: Rinse the blanket repeatedly with clean water until the detergent is completely removed.
2. Machine washing precautions:
Choose a laundry bag: If you use a washing machine to wash, it is recommended to put the blanket in a laundry bag to protect the fluff and reduce entanglement.
Gentle mode: Select the "gentle" or "hand wash" mode on the washing machine, and avoid using strong stirring or high temperature washing.
Appropriate amount of detergent: Use mild, phosphorus-free detergent, and control the amount to avoid excessive residue affecting the softness and color of the blanket.
Drying and finishing
1. Drying in the shade: After washing, the blanket should be dried naturally in a well-ventilated and cool place, avoiding direct sunlight exposure to prevent fading and deformation. You can use two bamboo poles to set up in parallel and hang the blanket on it to dry.
2. Pat gently: The blanket may be a little wrinkled or uneven after drying. At this time, you can use a clean brush to gently pat or comb it to restore its original soft feel and appearance.
4. Special Tips
Avoid bleaching: Never use bleach to wash flannel blankets to avoid damaging the texture and color of the fabric.
Check the washing label: Flannel blankets of different brands and materials may have different washing requirements, so be sure to check and follow the instructions on the washing label.
Wash regularly: In order to keep the blanket clean and hygienic and extend its service life, it is recommended to wash it regularly. The specific frequency can be determined according to usage and the degree of stains.
